The
Meetery Eatery Inc. was formed on July 1, 2003
by the 50/50 partnership of Maurice Young and
Jerry Brown. The cousins have dedicated the business
to the memory of Jerry’s
deceased brother Gary Brown, who was the co-founder
of B&B Restaurants, Inc. Gary was an expert
in the restaurant industry and used his expertise
to give them an entry into the business. After
3 very successful years in the restaurant industry,
the cousins were prepared to take on this new
venture. The cousins are a shining example of
what two Detroit-natives
with a strong work ethic and pride in a job well
done can accomplish.
The Meetery Eatery concept was inspired by growing
trends in the marketplace, as well as, the energy
surrounding the resurgence of the city of Detroit.
After several meetings, visits to cafes, and visits
to delis, the cousins decided that they could pull
together these two types of restaurant styles along
with their computer backgrounds to provide a unique
multi-concept restaurant experience.
